Minors

The Kahlert School of Computing offers minors in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. These minors allow students in other majors to develop computing knowledge and technical skills that complement their primary field of study.

Students pursuing a Kahlert School of Computing major are not eligible to complete the Artificial Intelligence Minor or Computer Science Minor.

Students in other majors should meet with a Kahlert School of Computing academic advisor to review the requirements and declare a minor.

Artificial Intelligence Minor

The Artificial Intelligence Minor complements undergraduate programs involving data, language, design, computing, and other fields that use artificial intelligence. Students develop foundational knowledge and skills that can help them apply AI within their primary area of study.

Computer Science Minor

The Computer Science Minor complements undergraduate programs that use computing to solve problems or automate tasks. It provides students with foundational programming and computer science knowledge that can be applied within their primary field of study.

Students interested in declaring the Artificial Intelligence Minor or Computer Science Minor should meet with a Kahlert School of Computing academic advisor. An advisor can review eligibility, explain the requirements, and discuss how the minor may fit into the student’s academic plan.
