Students in the School of Computing may report concerns to the appropriate office/department listed below:

Emergencies: Please call 911 directly.

Threatening Behavior: If you are worried about a student whose behaviors are concerning, disruptive, or threatening towards themselves or others, fill out a Student of Concern Report.

Discrimination or Harassment: If you have experienced or have witnessed any form of discrimination, harassment, and/or sexual misconduct, please fill out this Discrimination, Harassment, or Sexual Misconduct Report. Please note that employees of the University, including tutors and TAs are Mandatory Reporters required to report these instances.

Confidential Support: If you would like confidential support for discrimination, harassment, and/or sexual misconduct, please reach out to a Victim Survivor Advocate, the University Counseling Center, the University Hospital Chaplains or the Women’s Resource Center. Please note that with the exception of the resources above, employees of the University, including tutors and TAs are Mandatory Reporters required to report these instances.

Course issues: If you are concerned because of an issue you are experiencing in a class (no published office hours, one of your classes has been cancelled for a week or more, etc.), email ugrad-concerns@cs.utah.edu (undergraduate students) or grad-concerns@cs.utah.edu (graduate students). Messages to each email address are read by one academic advisor who will keep your identity private, as needed, to support you and work to resolve the concern. Messages are read during business hours Monday through Friday, and you can expect a prompt reply confirming receipt of your message, asking follow-up questions (if needed), and informing you of the next step in resolving your concern.
