Drifting off-topic, but I've only ever seen the term "prevalence" in this
context, in connection with Klaus Wuestefeld's Java persistence system
"Prevayler" (http://www.xispe.com.br/prevayler/index.html).  Is the term
used elsewhere (related to persistence mechanisms)?  Do you have any
references?  I like the concept, but I found Prevayler a little too limited
to be useful to me.
