I don't know if it is relevant, but the Moab example-EEs work OK...

Could my problem be due to the interaction Moab <-> JanosVM ??

The Image I boot, that crashes when jsihey is called, is built with the 
following (as Tim Stack suggested)

/oskit/janosvm-0.5.1/config/i386/nodeos/mkimage.sh 
--kerneldir=/oskit/bootdir/ --kaffedir=/oskit/myjanosvm/ 
--oskitdir=/oskit/myoskit/ --skipdefaultclasses 
--classarchive=/oskit/myjanosvm/share/kaffe/JanosVM.jar 
--explicitfile=/oskit/janosvm-0.5.1/kaffe/etc/janosvm-root.config 
--explicitfile=/oskit/janosvm-0.5.1/kaffe/etc/janosvm-fake.config 
--explicitfile=/oskit/janosvm_makedir/test/janosvm/jvm.config:/etc/tests_config
