As an aside, this was probably due to pathnames-with-spaces 
introduced by mac stuff, and should now have been fixed.

As an aside to my aside, if you have, say, an NT cvs tree, there's no 
reason that you should check out or update directory trees like 
plt/src/{wxmac | mac | wxxt | a-list}.
