Abstract: Nasheen’s teaching demonstration will be on “Red black tree” (definition, insertion and rotation operations, applications). Red black tree is the last topic of binary search tree and self balancing binary search tree. I will give a refresher on the concepts/properties for binary search tree and self balancing BST like AVL trees.

Even though she is a student, she has extensive teaching experience, both as a TA and as the instructor of record. She has also conducted CS education research to identify students who need extra support, and to help academic advisors find and interpret meaningful data about students.
