About

I am a PhD student in Computing: Data Management & Analysis Track at the School of Computing of the University of Utah. I am a member of the Data Group at Utah. I am working with Dr. Jeff Phillips.
Before PhD study, I was working as Research Associate in MesoWest Group of Atmospheric Sciences Department of University of Utah with Dr. John Horel managing and visualizing large weather data from more than 30,000 stations.
I got my Master Degree in Computing: Graphics and Visualization in University of Utah and Bachelor Degree of Computer Science in Nankai University, China

Research Interests

Database, Data Mining, partically in Data Storage and Summaries

My current researches focus on kernel density estimates of large dataset and kernel distance for geometric inference.
