Update Tuesday, June 10: So I've been working on the isosurface global illumination stuff. Below are some images of some of the things I've played around with. The skull is illuminated by one light. On one side, the environment is a simple bi-colored background with an added point light. The other side uses a high dynamic range light probe of St. Peter's Cathedral with the same addedpoint light source. I've got larger (900x900) images w/o the JPG artifacts if you want a better comparison.
