Minnesota Band Pictures

So, in November 2000 I visited my parents back in Minnesota (for Thanksgiving). Luckily, there was a Gopher football game the weekend before (on the 18th), so I got to go watch the band (which my brother was in) and see a few of the people who were in band when I was.

It's really strange to watch from the seats without marching, especially during pregame, which I can almost still do from memory, except for the formations they've changed for the University's 150th anniversary.... I can still remember the feeling of that adreneline rush I got the last time I marched pregame.

However, this time I got a chance to take pictures during the band performance. Something I never got to do when I was actually marching :-)

So, without further ado, here are the pictures from pregame. I took some from halftime too, but they don't mean as much to me since I don't have the connection to the show, since I've never marched it. If for some reason you're someone from the band in the 2000 season, you can e-mail me and I can send you the images.

ROTATE!

The gauntlet for the team to run

So, another part of the reason for going to the game was to get to say "Hi" to some of the people I marched with, and catch up a little on the past two years as I've been out here in Utah. Unfortunately I didn't carry my camera around the entire game, but during the traditional last game of the season "senior march around," I took a few pictures.

Steve Zellinger and I were rookies together. Steve's a great guy, and has a great sense of humor. :-)

Andy Richter and I were rookies together, and this was his last (regular season) game as drum major. Shauna was one year younger than me.
