Volumetric Scene Reconstruction and 3D Visualization

Welcome to the Volumetric Scene Reconstruction and 3D Visualization page of the UTK Department of Electrical Engineering. This page describes our plans to develop algorithms and techniques for using level sets of volumes to model surface deformations. Our goal is to take information from noisy range images, and using the well-founded mathematical structure of level sets, and deformable models, extract an accurate 3D model using an optimal reconstruction technique. Several examples of level sets are available, as are some of the publications relating to this work.
