Dr. Xinlong Wang
Dr. Xinlong Wang received his B.S. and M.S. at Harbin University of Science and Technology and his Ph.D. at Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1997, he joined the National CIMS Engineering Research Center (ERC) at Tsinghua University as a postdoctoral research fellow. He came to the USA in September 1999. After one year stay at Northwestern University, he joined SCI Institute in September 2000 as a postdoctoral research fellow, specializing in Geometric Modeling and Mesh Generation. His research interests are computer graphics, computational geometry, as well as computer aided design.
Currently, he is working on surface reconstruction from unorgonized points, as well as the 3d corresponding discretization for the obtained geometry.
Beyond academic work, he has many hobbies, such as playing with his son, swimming, skiing, listening music (especially Chinese classic music), as well as traveling.
