Welcome to the home page of Thanh Hoang Nguyen. I am a PhD in the School of Computing at the University of Utah and will graduate in May 2013. I am very fortunate to work under the supervision of professor Juliana Freire. My research interests include mining large scale Web data and the hidden-Web, database and knowledge-base systems, data integration, and machine learning.
My dissertation is about integrating structured data on the Web which mainly focus on hidden Web and Wikipedia data. As a result, it can enable advanced queries that go far beyond the search capability of normal search engines.
I would like to acknowledge all of my committee members, my advisor, professor Renee Miller, professor Suresh Venkatasubramanian, professor Claudio Silva, and doctor Viviane Moreira for their insigfull discussion and constructive comments to improve my dissertation.
