How to pronounce my name
When one sees it one is fain to cry aloud, ‘Nay! ’tis too much! He plays a joke on us!’
(with apologies to Edmund Rostrand)
Most people have a hard time pronouncing my name, so I have a handy guide here. The main problem areas are the sounds and the accents, and we’ll take them one by one.
Sounds

Suresh: SUE – raysh
Venkatasubramanian: ven-cut-a-sub-ra-money-un (rhymes with onion!)
Accents
My last name has many accents, and for the musically inclined, I include a little excerpt below to indicate a rough rhythm of the name (ignore the actual tones). The accented syllables are in bold.
