This manual will prepare one to hear the words of God, see authentic
visions, smell the supernal beauty, touch his/her Grace, and taste the delights
of Eden. Study the manual by browsing the table of contents at the end of each
web page, links, and footnotes. Let your spirit be your guide and the Ribono
Shel Olam (the Master of the World) will reveal what you need to learn next.
The work focuses on learning spirituality through
sacrifice,
character improvement, and the
theoretical,
meditative, and
practical kabbalah. This manual uses
prayer,
Midrash,
Torah,
Mussar,
kabbalah, and
meditation to inspire the
soul. While I have written down some of my own
meditative journeys, in the final analysis one must choose one’s own path
and with the blessing of G-d reveal another true path to the Infinite.
For easy browsing, there is an abbreviated table of contents at the end
of each web page.

“Equanimity brings one
to concentration of the soul, and concentration brings about the holy spirit,
which brings one to prophecy,
which is the highest level. If so, one of the necessary prerequisites for your
path in meditation is that you
first have the quality of equanimity that you not become excited by
anything.”[30]
Equanimity is none other
than the avoidance of the sin of idolatry whose obsession leads to anger with
imperfection.[31]
Equanimity harmonizes
with quality, the improvement of knowledge, skills, and
creativity.[32]

Rav Kook on the Weekly Parasha Rabbi Abraham
Isaac Kook, 1st Chief Rabbi of Israel, ‘According to Kook's
philosophy of repentance, man's separation from God is not an objective fact but
a consequence of human "forgetfulness" of a higher existence. Thus repentance,
achieved through Torah learning, can restore man's unity with the divine. A
mystic by nature, Kook viewed Jewish national revival as part of the divine plan
for strengthening faith against the rising tide of heresy. He expounded this
philosophy in several cryptic essays, many of which were published posthumously
under the title Orot ha-qodesh, 3 vol. (1963-64; "Lights of
Holiness").’[38]

We are the music makers,
And we are the
dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And
sitting by desolate streams;—

Yet we are

[8] Psalm 137:5 – There are
22 Hebrew letters as well. ‘Forget’ is in the future in the first
statement and could be a sigh of exasperation in the second statement as if
“what good is my right hand if I do not remember Jerusalem.” To
remember Jerusalem strengthens the right hand of salvation.

Text 1-1: sustained by Hashem,
having a consciousness derived from Hashem, and a voice rooted in Hashem. As
Moshe was told to address the rock to bring forth water, we can address
anything. There is a consciousness in everything that has its source in the
creator. This is to become radically amazed with life and able to commune with
others. There is even a consciousness in man-made objects. To be one with the
Creator is to become a magical being interacting, helping, and appreciating all
creation. King Solomon achieved this level in life when he wrote the Song of
Songs (Canticles).
[11] See
26.13.2 and
Text 26-68: Psalm 85:11-14. The
land of Israel is infused with a sense of magic from the lush mountains and
rains of the north to the landscape deserts of the south to the heavens
above—all is filled with magic all is filled with Hashem. Magic is an
integral quality in Judaism rivaling the philosophical approach of talmudic
pilpul. While often at odds, neither can be denied. Perhaps the two reflect
the relationship of tzedakah and tzedek.
[12] Appreciate each day that
you can eat and drink, walk outside and smell the fresh air. To be out of the
hospital is another day in paradise. This is not the same as the Hebrew Bet
Holim – where sick people recover. An old friend of my grandfather on the
upper eastside of Manhattan told me once, “When you have your health it is
like a billion dollars.” They gathered in the upper eastside shuls
attending their minyans. Most were Holocaust survivors who had seen the worst
to remind us of the best.
[13] This is an important
principle in Judaism. The past can be changed as easily as the future. Do not
regret what you think you could have prevented. Even the death of a loved one
can be reversed. Incorporate the values and ideas of the departed in your life.
Let their advice become part of you, and they live again.
[14] By living the life of the
departed i.e. kissing the mezuzah when leaving the house, attending services,
and informing others who care, we change the past.

[16] Even the fragrance of a
rose along an evening walk is sufficient; that is as important for the baby as
children and parents.
[17] Even the outdoor fire of
your neighbor is sufficient; that is as important for the baby as children and
parents
[18] That will lead to the
tranquility of a baby even the whole family. 3

prevents disease while after a meal the benefits are less substantial.
[24] Treat your spouse as well

relationship.
[33] Sennacherib, who led the
Asyrian invasion of Israel, had descendents who were proselytes and two were the
pair who led the Academy of Israel. “His sons fled to Kardu where they
released the many Jewish captives there. With them they marched to Jerusalem and
became proselytes. The well-known scholars Shemaiah and Avtalyon were the
descendants of these two sons of Sennacherib (Git. 57b; Targ., II Kings 19:35,
37).” --- Jewish Virtual Library.
