Glass and Metal
The following scenes contain two glass spheres, a glass cube, a checkerboard plane, and a flat-shaded background plane. The indices of refraction for each of the glass objects are given above each image.

These scenes contain the same objects as above (sans background plane). The spheres are metallic (reflectivity 0.8 for all colors) and the slab is flat-shaded green. The spheres reflect the slab and the checkerboard (and the background, which is black).

This image contains the same objects as the images in the Metal section. The viewpoint is from just to the left and in front of what was the left-most sphere. The close sphere is glass with index 1.3. The center sphere is metallic (reflectivity 0.8 for all colors) and the slab is again flat-shaded green. The metallic sphere and the slab are both visible through the glass sphere.
