I am currently a visiting assitant professor at Duke working with Prof. Mauro Maggioni . I finshed my PhD in
2012 under the supervision of
Prof. Ross Whitaker at the SCI Institute at the University of Utah.
My research concerns methods for high dimensional data analsyis. In my thesis work I address the
problem of model selection in principal curve estimation, develop methods
to estimate manifold models in shape spaces with an application to brain
magnetic resonance images and explore partion based visualization and
regression of high-dimensional scalar functions. Currently I am working on
multiscale methods for data analysis that entails work on density
estimation, manifold modelling, topology, and approximations for
transportation distances.
