Verification/Validation of ICE Algorithm (A numerical PDE solver):

My research involves verifying the correctness of the algorithm by estimating the condition number of the methods used by this program. The validation work in my research involves modeling physical experiments, conducted at various scientific centers, that can be simulated by the ICE code. The results of the simulation are compared against the experimental data.

Data-mining Using Wide Area Surrogate Computing:

I am currently investigating the possibility of using surrogates for data-mining. Surrogates can off-load the network and the cpu bottleneck currently faced by the DBMS servers. The surrogates are deployed using virtual machine technology offered by Xen Opens new window virtual machine monitor.
