I am pursuing PhD in Computer Science at the University of Utah under the supervision of Prof. Suresh Venkatasubramanian. My research focuses broadly on the area of algorithmic fairness. Typically machine learning systems are trained on datasets that are produced or collected by us, therefore has all sorts of human biases. Our research tries to invent ways to quantify presence and extent of such biases and find novel algorithms to mitigate undesired effects originiating from those in decisions made by machine learning algorithms.
Here is my resume.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, 2010
