The classes will be held one night a week for two hours. The first hour will be the beginning class, and the second hour will be the intermediate level. The semester will be divided up into three monthlong sessions; we will change dances at the beginning of each session. Club members are free to come to both beginning and intermediate level sessions.

In the club classes we will be switching partners; thus, no partner is necessary to attend class. Couples who wish to dance only with each other are still welcome, even though we strongly encourage everybody to dance with other people.

Overview

The Utah Rhythm and Dance club is oriented towards beginning-to-intermediate social dancers. The main focus of the club is to help members improve their technique, knowledge of steps, and confidence on the dance floor.

Requirements

There are no skill/experience requirements to join the club. Members may attend activities as they have time and interest.

Finances

The club should not be a financial burden to its members. Dues will be set at $20 a semester (about 4 months).

Benefits

Club members will have the opportunity to both improve their dancing and have plenty of fun: reduced/free admission to instructional classes, professional lectures, monthly dances, and so on. In addition, the club is a perfect stepping stone for those who wish to pursue more rigorous dancing on the team.
