Big Cottonwood Canyon to Brighton
Elevation Profile
Details
Long.
This is a very long ride on a mountain bike.
Most of the hard climbing is in the first 5 miles,
the hardest being a half mile stretch up to Storm Mountain.
About 10 miles up you have to remind yourself why you are doing this
and you begin to appreciate the invention of the internal combustion engine.
From the stop light on Wasatch at the mouth of the canyon to
the general store at Brighton is
14 miles and 3810 vertical feet.
