personally speaking...

Born and raised in Mumbai (Bombay), India, I got a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai and followed it up with a Masters degree in Computer Science from Utah State University. After working with the Imaging Technologies Lab at GE Global Research, Bangalore (India), I joined the PhD program at the University of Utah in 2008.

I'm a die-hard optimist, simply love life and being alive ;)
Enjoy many of the little things in life - love to travel, love the outdoors, will read almost anything but prefer science non-fiction :) Currently hooked onto photography...

professionally speaking...

My general research interests are in the areas of image analysis, visualization and other allied fields (e.g. data mining, machine learning) that converge with traditional image processing methods to provide better solutions to problems in this field.
Currently, I work with Dr. Ross Whitaker on statistical analysis of shape ensembles. More specifically, in characterizing the variability existing in such populations using particle correspondence models.
