HW 10 - Glossy Surfaces and Shadow Rays

Description

Implement glossy surfaces and shadow rays.

Comparison

Both of these images were rendered at 100 samples per pixel.  The image converges much faster when rendered with shadow rays.  On the down side, the bright spot on the green wall, lit by light transmitted through the glass sphere, is muted by the use of shadow rays.

Without Shadow Rays

With Shadow Rays

Glossy Surfaces

While the larger sphere in the images above is a glossy surface, the wall in this picture does a better job of illustrating glossy surfaces.
