The story of Turks begins in Northwestern China. Because of Chinese attacks they scattered thru different parts of Asia and Europe.This movement has finished with the coming of Republic of Turkey.Throughout the history Turks established a lot of governments.Here comes a couple of them.
It's debateful whether Huns were Mongols originated or Turk. A couple of historians states that Turks and Mongols share the same roots.
"...these Turks, like their modern congeners in the Byzantine Empire, would ultimately lose their Mongolian features..."(Keene,1972) .
The Empire of Huns had been established in Northwestern China.Huns were divided into two pieces of Empire as Eastern Huns and Western Huns. The Eastern Huns were easily digested by Chinese Empire.The West Huns began to move toward West with the force of China.By forcing Goths,Vandals they led Roman Empire to be exposed Barbarian attacks. The Huns became a trouble to Roman Empire and Christiansso the leader of Huns, Attila had been called "The scourge of God".Attila plundered East Europe and controlled this region.Then moved toward France.Attila gained control in France and moved toward Rome to collapse it. It's a legend that Pope Leo had talked to Attila and convinced him not to attack to Rome. However history says Attila's army had suffered from plague and femine. Attila then hadn't attack on Rome and moved toward North. Attila coincided with Roman Army and lost the battle.This is the first in Huns. Huns settled down in a region Eastern Europe which correspondence todays Hungaria. Hungaria is descendents of Huns.Attila is a historical charecter of Hungarians.
Hungarians call themselves Magyar which means "tenth arm" in pro-Turkic language.
This was a great civilization had been established in Northwest of China.One of the first literacies carved on stones was found in this region.It's in Turkish language written by Gokturks-sky Turks-.Both Huns and Gokturks used to worship to sky,earth and nature.Their religion was Shamanism.
Uygur Turks had a brilliant civilization.They had a very well advanced code of laws.The Genghis Khan,known Mongol,ruled his huge empire with Uygur(Uigur) Turks laws.This Empire,Uygurs,disappeared by Chinese Empire.
Turks established a lot of civilizations in different parts of the world such as Siberia,India,Afghanistan,Iran,Anatolia.Their civilizations conquered China,Arabic Peninsula,North and Mid-Africa,Eastern Europe. A couple of them are Gazne Emp,Karahan Emp.,Seljuks,Ottomans. Historians Erskine says.
