I don't ever request tech support come by to upgrade anything. If they do come by, I know it means weeks of things not working right. I got this laptop so that I'd never have to deal with this phenomenon.

But, despite the best laid plans, I neglected to consider upgrades to the web server. They upgraded a long time ago and hosed my MovableType installation. I couldn't fix it either. There was one file that I couldn't seem to update. Apparently, this was the most important file.

I finally decided to give a more concerted effort, and it's starting to look like things are going to work once more. I'm just going to have to go back and recreate each section of the webpage to kick-start the website again. What a pain.

Part of this update process involves changing the paths to some of the sub-pages, so if you've got a link to Rhetoric or something, then you might have to change it. But, nobody links here, so I'm sure it's no problem.
