During my first college life, I majored in chemical engineering and obtained the first BS degree from Inha University, S. Korea in 1993.  After finishing a military duty as a lieutenant, I worked as a chemical engineer and was involved in a project of building a purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant for an year.  I came to U.S.A. in 1996 to learn English for an year, but life was unpredictable as usual.  After being a life time friend with a wheelchair, I started a second BS in Computer Science with a Mathematics minor in 1997.  Since then, I obtained the second BS and a MS degrees from University of Utah.  Also I worked as a software engineer at two different companies for about 8 years.  In 2010, I decided to come back to school for more challenging research work.

My research interest is in various scientific & engineering problems. Particularly, image processing, mathematical optimization, and scientific computing are interesting area.  Large scale GPU computing seems interesting too.
