For years, this corner has been home to an abandoned Movie
Buffs store. While it is nice to see new businesses moving in, I'm
sorry I missed my chance to get a picture earlier. Movie Buffs was
driven out of business before I moved here in two baseless obscenity
trials. They where tried for renting Utah cable versions (which
contain no images of genitalia) of X rated movies.[NOTES]
Warm Springs Park is three blocks north of my house. These
may not officially be hot springs, but steam still rises from them in
the winter. This park is an excellent place to watch thunderstorms
come in over the lake and salt flats.
I guess that a natural source of foul smelling sulfurous
emissions is a good spot for an oil refinery, but one normally
doesn't think of an oil refinery as a good spot for a park.
You find the most surprising things nestled between a
railroad line and a switching yard.
Any number, however small, would be more reassuring than
these empty boxes.
