Berlin has been under construction since 1945. The pace
escalated after reunification, and show no sign of slowing. While it
is still a very green city, the forrest of trees is slowly giving way
to a forrest of cranes. This picture was taken from the Reichstag.
The TV tower offers an even better view of the city, but I never made
it there.
Because this stone building looked out of place, they recently
added a steal and glass dome to the roof.
The tallest building in Berlin. I've been told that this was
the only part of east Germany visible from the other side of the
Brandenburg Gate, and that in sunset it appeared as a glowing cross.
I did not think to take a picture of this, but luckily someone named
