Biography
|
I
was born in Seoul, Korea in 1975. I'm second in a family of two children.
During my youth I focused on academics and service to the military and my
church. For the most part, I have enjoyed school, always trying to challenge
myself with the most difficult classes. When I was a university student
in Korea, I was awarded the top academic scholarsip to Kyung Won University
in Sung Nam, Korea (Spring Semester 1998), where I pursued studies in Business.
During my military duty as a private I acted as support of munitions department
and served in the Department of Troop Information and Education.
After my second year of college, I decided to take time off to serve in the army for my country. I was assigned to serve in Tae Geon, Korea, where I was requested to act as a support soldier as well as an office worker for the munition officers of the Second General Headquarters of Korea for 26 months. It was one of the most remarkable and memorable experiences of my life. Along with great spiritual growth, I also developed fluency with computer and gained valuable skills and leadership experience. The opportunity to immerse myself in command and direction, while remaining in the United States, taught me much of the great diversity that exists in this country. After returning from school, I graduated from Kyung Won University in Korea and I enrolled the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I focused my studies on Computer science. I am going to graduate in May of 2004 with a Bachelor of science in Computer science I know some computer language such as scheme, java, and C++.But I am not expert. just intermediate level. |

One of my favorite things to do is travel. As an international student, I have a very limited budget (I rarely go as far, or as often, as I'd like, but when the opportunity presents itself, I'm gone). I've traveled to San Francisco, San diego, Seatle, LasVegas, Los Angeles, Canada in the last few years. This Thanksgiving day, I hope to trip to San Fransico again. Because it is the first place which I have lived in the United State for threemonths. Therefore, sometimes I miss San Francisco so much. Along with traveling, I also enjoy playing basket ball and watching movies. I have been playing basketball for 14 years and have been enjoying it. Even though my basketball skill is not excellent, I do love playing basketball and watching the basket ball game. I have two favorite NBA (National Basketball Association) teams. One is the 'Philadelphia Seventy Sixers' and the others is 'Utah Jazz'. And my favorite basketball player is 'Allen Iverson'. Because, he is not tall as a NBA basketball player but, he is the best. In my view, he is as valuable a player as Michael Jordan. It is impossible to watch NBA game as live in Korea, however, here in the United State it is on all the time. That's why I can enjoy myself to the full. In addition, I enjoy watching movies. Especially, I like suspense, detective and romance movies. I enjoy making movies too. And finally, one of my biggest hobbies is computers and Internet in general. I enjoy learning new software and trying how much I can learn. Furthermore, I am very interested in telecosm and new media. So, I love dealing with technology and surfing the Internet. I am also interested in learning by other's great Web design method. What I can create and accomplish on a computer is my valuable hobby. Computer is excellent and it can make my dream come true. I hope through my college studies I will be able to turn this hobby into a career. |
