I am a computer science Ph.D. student(2008 - present), and my advisor is Ellen Riloff. My Research interests focus on information extraction (IE), which aims to understand the plain texts thoroughly and extract valuable information automatically.
I have been working on different levels of IE including semantic class tagging, relation extraction and event extraction. Concerning the lack of labeled data, I am especially interested to develop weakly supervised approaches and make IE systems practical and beneficial.
I am also interested in machine learning (ML) and I have worked with Hal Daume III on domain adaptation.
