The Y&SW's backdrop, a 2x8 oil on masonite desert mural by WarrenChase Merritt, was painted in 1953 and hung in the University of Utah Chemical Engineering Dept for decades, until I obtained it in 1998.
The small end (2x4ft, not pictured here) will be an oil on masonite painting to match the larger unit.
