What? Hatch discovers forgotten sign in Berlin!

Having spent 5 years in the 1970s living within the confines of the Berlin Wall, and having traversed its length many times, I became quite familiar with its many features and peculiar nature. Particularly with the wall within the American sector. I had photographed much of it, and I knew it well. Of course, once the wall fell in November of 1989, it was dismantled along with the watch towers and its many signs.

What to my surprise, during a visit to Berlin in the summer of 2001, I discovered one last "forgotten" sign in an overgrown patch of woods in Lichtenrade. I couldn't believe my find! Or could I? Here are some further photos of said sign.
