Network test
Tests were performed on the following cat5 network cards:
Netgear GA620T using Acenic driver built into 2.4.18 kernel
Netgear GA622T using 820c driver built into 2.4.18 kernel
Intel Pro/1000T Server using e1000 module version 4
Intel Pro/100 using 2.4.18 kernel driver
For each test, netpipe v2.4 was used to stream data from the "server"
host using the command NPtcp -t -h host_ip
-P, while the client host ran NPtcp -r.
The client host card was a Netgear GA620T, the server host card
varied between the gigabit cards listed above. Intel Pro/100 results
are included as a baseline for comparision between gigabit and
10/100 performance.
