Orca FPGA and ODS ODS

ODS is the program used to route a ViewLogic schematic into an Orca FPGA. Routing into multiple FPGA's is currently not supported (autumn 1994) so prepartitioning (for instance in ViewPartitioner) may be neccessary.

Orca FPGA

Orca FPGA's are LUT based and currently (spring 1995) holds the market record in size - 40. 000 gates equivalence. LUT stands for LookUp Table, which is a RAM based method of storing "equations" representing the functionality of a collection of interconnected gates.
