Hamlet is available for a variety of Unix workstations. Not all of the
executables have been tested extensively, so please let us know about any
problems. Also let us know if you need Hamlet for any other Unix platform.
When you download, uncompress, and unpack the file, you'll have a single
executable file hamlet.
If you do not find a suitable binary in the list above, you can also
download the source code along with a sample
Makefile.
You should install the hamlet executable somewhere along your
binary path where your web browser can find it. You must then create,
in your home directory, a .mailcap file containing the line
text/x-hamlet-action; hamlet %s
and a .mime.types file containing the line
text/x-hamlet-action hamlet
If you already have these files, simply add the lines.
Your web browser should now be able to communicate with Hamlet. But
first try running Hamlet directly from a Unix shell with no arguments.
An error message complaining about the lack of arguments should pop
up.
