How to transfer a ringtone to your phone
- Connect your phone to your computer. Most phones have some way of transferring data between them and your computer. Often you can buy a USB transfer cable that connects the two. Most phones have bluetooth capabilities and, if your computer also does, you can connect the two that way (although many phones nowaday disallow bluetooth transfers to and/or from the phone). Once you can connect your phone and your computer, just download the ringtone onto your computer and then transfer it to your phone.
- If your phone has internet access, you can attempt to download the ringtone directly to your phone. Open your phone's web browser and enter the URL for the midi file you want. For example, if you wanted the final fantasy battle ringtone, you enter the URL "http://www.cs.utah.edu/~goldberg/ringtones/finalf-battle.mid" into your phone's browser.
- If neither of the above methods works for you, you can try a method that a friend of mine successfully used which involved having the website phoneuploader text him the location of the ringtone. He put the instruction in this linked blog post.
