Work Interests
I'm most interested in programming languages, specifically in making them as easy to use as possible. To this end, I am interested in intersections with software engineering, such as development environments as well as language features that facilitate their use.
I have been working with the Utah PLT group, part of the University-spanning PLT Scheme group. The professor I am working with is Matthew Flatt and, barring any natural disasters or things of that ilk, he will be my dissertation advisor.
Current Projects
- DrOmedary - A CAML-like dialect of ML that works in the DrScheme environment
- Beta and Java-style inheritance - Combining beta-style method overriding and inheritance with java-style method overriding and inheritance in one class system
