So, to wrap up. We've made the task of setting the opacity function easier
by dividing it up into two parts. The first part creates the position function
automatically from the histogram volume, and in the second part the user
gives a boundary emphasis function. This was made possible by knowing the
certain relationship between f, f', and f'' which signifies the presences of
a boundary in the volume, and by measuring that relationship with the histogram
volume. As a result of all this, the user has a more intuitive interface for
setting the opacity function in a direct volume rendering.
