Volume NPR: Animation

Here's an animation for which the frames only finished rendering five minutes ago: vmhead0.mov. Now I was going to stand up here and say that because there is nothing stochastic in the rendering process, I'm guaranteed frame-to-frame coherence. The problem here is that these images are really undersampled, so we're getting a quite a bit of aliasing.

[Note: I've since re-rendered the animation with larger image resolution, and a softer opacity function (which increases the image-space size of features, and decreases the minimum image size to avoid undersampling): vmhead.mov]
