My name is Mina Ghashami. I am a 25 year old Iranian girl. I am currently a Ph.D. student in Data Mining at School of Computing, at Universtiy of Utah. I am part of data group that focuses on research in many areas of data analysis at the intersection of Algorithms, Data Mining, and Databases. I am doing my Ph.D. under supervision of Dr. Jeff Phillips. I received my B.E. in Software Engineering in 2010 and then continued my masters degree in Data Mining, both in Computer Engineering department of Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. My research interests include Data Mining, Machine Learning and Algorithms for Big Data analysis. Currently, I am working on designing approximate algorithms for data streaming problems.
