Over the last few years, I've worked on several systems and pieces of software. I've placed information about some of them on this and other web sites. Below is a list of some of them.
Bessie is a web-based gradebook. Written in PHP, it stores classes and grades in a MySQL database and allows teachers and students to view and modify information via a web interface. It is not refined software, but it could serve as a good starting point for some situations. Bessie is licensed under the GPL.
The Trident Weather Wire System is a Java program that can be used to receive weather data from the United States' National Weather Service Weather Wire. You need to obtain an account from the NWS separately in order to access the wire, but you can use Trident to manipulate the data feed once you have it.
This page describes my efforts to run the Gimp as a server of sorts. It works, but better solutions exist for many situations. The instructions are a bit old, but they probably are still relevant.
Servus is a peer-to-peer application that I wrote as part of my undergraduate education. It is written in Java and has its own protocol, thus dooming it to a life of non-interoperability with other P2P networks. It isn't fancy, but it does demonstrate some of the issues surrounding P2P applications.
I've created a lot of software, but most of it will never see the light of day. I've created a list of some of the things that might be useful to other people, but that I just haven't found the time to document yet.
This is a list of some things that I'm interesting in working on; that doesn't mean I am currently working on them, but maybe some day...
