These instructions are for the authors of the papers accepted for the NAACL 2001 Workshop on ``Adaptation in Dialogue Systems''.
Authors must print the Copyright form, complete it, and return it along with their
final camera-ready copy to the address given below.
Authors with full papers accepted are invited to submit a full length paper of maximum 8 pages.
Authors of invited abstracts/position papers are invited to submit a paper of maximum 2 pages.
Both main session and abstract papers should be prepared according to the following guidelines:
Use Letter size paper (8.5 x 11 inches).
You MUST send us a hardcopy of your paper, printed single-sided. Electronic
versions are not an acceptable substitute for the hard copies.
Center the title of the manuscript along with authors'
names and their complete addresses at the top of the first page.
Generally print all text, including titles and figures,
in two-column format, each is of size 3.125 '' by 9'' (8cm by 22.5cm).
Exceptions to the two-column format include the title and author information
at the top of the first page and any full-width figures or tables.
Text should be centered on each page. It is
important that you leave about 1 inch (2.5 cm) margins on left and right
sides of each page as well as a 1 inch (2.5 cm) margin on the top of each
page.
Type single spaced.
Print on only one side of the page.
Indent when starting a new paragraph.
Use standard fonts such as Times Roman or Computer
Modern Roman, 10 to 12 points for text, 14 to 16 points for headings and
title.
Do not print page numbers. Instead, on reverse of pages, indicate in pencil author name(s), workshop, page number (e.g., 1/8 or "1 out of 8").

Be warned that use of these files on some systems
may produce incorrect results. Therefore, verify that the margins
and font size of your output conform to the guidelines. If they do
not, you are responsible for making the appropriate adjustments.
One copy of your final, camera-ready
paper must reach us no later than April 9,

In addition to the hardcopy, you are also required to
provide a pdf file of your paper. The authors are responsible for
ensuring that the suitable fonts are included when necessary in preparing
the pdf file. The pdf file for must also be submitted on or before April 9, 2001. The submission of the pdf file can be done by:
