With Monte Carlo we can evaluate the radiance function at any point we
want to. Using this, project the radiance function for the Cornell
box onto a set of basis function for the Cornell box and display the
result. Create at least four images. Two with a coarse (small) set of basis
functions, and two with many basis functions. For each pair, do a
small number of Monte Carlo samples per basis function and a large
number per basis function.
