I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However my parents and whole family are from Europe, mainly Switzerland, Portugal and UK. I was raised and educated following European standards. I am an EU citizen.

I am interested in lots of things. Besides computing, school and my job, I enjoy other engineering areas such as automobile design and aviation.

I like sports and I practice Tennis, jogging, hiking whenever possible. Of course I like Formula 1 racing and so I have been watching all races since about 1980. My favorite drivers are Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet, Alan Prost, Rubens Barrichello, Juan Pablo Montoya and the young Spanish driver Fernando Alonso who in my opinion will be one of the next generation greatest along with Kimi Raikkonen. The World Rally drivers I like are Collin McRae and Marko Martin the Estonian driver. Needless to say I love to drive fast cars. I learned to drive in a VW Bus (Kombi) back in Brazil when I was 10 years old since it was the only vehicle I could reach the clutch, brake and gas pedals. After that I have been driving many cars including European sports cars, vintage Jaguar cars and whatever I can put my hands on. I think that Ferris Bueler's huge desire of driving was inspired on me. I have yet to drive a Ferrari California. It must indeed be really interesting.

I am a music lover and I like mostly all styles specially Bossa Nova Jazz, POP Rock, Rock, New Age, Country, Blues and some classics. I have some arts background as I used to do classical painting during my teen years.

Good food is always a good thing as well. After all it is part of my heritage. Sao Paulo, my home town, has the most number of very fancy gourmet places that I know in the world. We like to cook at home and we appreciate a good wine now and then. Among the places I like to dine with my wife in Utah are Trio, Grappa, the beer pub in Park City, the French restaurant in front of Sugar House's park, Aristo's and Broiler are two good options at 1300E if you are close to the U and your stomach demands good food.

I like animals specially dogs and I like people. In fact, while some people collect stamps, coins or cars I like to collect friends. Friendship is a great way to spend your time. Trust me!
