Assignment 9 – Glass and Mirrors.

Mirrors can be done with just using a reflection ray taken by reflecting the viewing ray across the normal of the object hit.

Glass has a refraction ray found by using the index of refraction of the material hit and continuing the ray through the material at a slightly different angle.  When the ray comes in closer to the tangent at the point on the surface then it is reflected more than refracted.

My initial attempt at doing a glass sphere.

This shows more magnification through the glass.

The bottom left sphere is completely reflective.
