The following sequence of images shows the convergence of the rendering of the Macbeth colour checker chart. There is no stratification spatially, only by wavelength. The images show the chart rendered at 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 144, and 625 samples per pixel respectively. The images were corrected with a 2.0 gamma curve.
Just for fun, this is a rendering of the colour chart sampled at 632.8nm, the wavelength of a HeNe laser.
