RE: Scheme acceptance [no flames]



No, Visual Basic is not used on the AP exam, has not been used, and (to my
knowledge) is not under consideration to be used either.

The current AP exam uses C++, a fairly recent change from Pascal.  There is
a current discussion about moving to Java.  Both Scheme and Python have been
proposed, to no effect.

Better than Visual Basic, in any case
(I've heard that they're using VB on the Advanced Placement exams, and I
feel personally insulted, having taken them in Pascal a few years ago).
