Background
Ellen received her B.S. in (Applied Mathematics) Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University in 1987. She received her M.S. in Computer Science and PhD in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1989 and 1994.
Research Interests
Natural language processing, information retrieval, and artificial intelligence
