Current Camps and Events

GREAT Summer Camp

The GREAT Summer Camp is about having fun while learning amazing tools to unleash your creativity. The first part of the week will teach you how to build and tell a story in your own interactive 3D world. The second part of the week will have you working together in teams building robots to compete in a robot showdown. Together, GREAT is about learning how computer science approaches to problem solving can lead to creative and exciting applications.

FIRST LEGO League

The FIRST LEGO League (FLL) introduces young people, ages 9 to 14, to the fun and excitement of science and technology while building self-confidence, knowledge and life skills. FLL challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. Alongside adult mentors, FLL teams solve problems using engineering concepts, presentation techniques and robots. www.utfll.utah.edu/

The University of Utah is committed to help start FLL teams in Utah by offering mentoring, financial support, training and a tournament. Registration for the 2009-10 challenge, Smart Moves, is due in mid-September.
