HPCA '08 Student Travel Grants

Requesting Your Travel Reimbursement

If you were one of the 46 students who received an HPCA 2008 travel grant award, i.e., you received email from Lixin Zhang informing you of your award, then here is the procedure that you must follow to receive your award check:

For electronic receipts, e.g., your conference/workshop registration, simply print out a copy of the electronic receipt and attach it to the form.

We will process the requests and issue the checks as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and congratulations on receiving one of our travel grants!

Application Process

We are no longer accepting applications for travel grants for HPCA 2008. We awarded a total of $20,000 in travel grant funds to a total of 46 students. Congratulations to all of the recipients!

HPCA will provide limited travel grants to full-time students. These grants are intended to partially cover the expense to participate in the conference. To receive a grant, a student must register for the conference. Grant amounts will be based on the available budget, number of applications, and details of the applications. Our budget for travel grants is limited, pending additional corporate or NSF support, but we will provide as many travel grants as possible. In no case will an individual award exceed the amount on submitted receipts.

To apply for a grant, send an email to the Finance Chair, Lixin Zhang (zhangl at us.ibm.com), with the subject line "HPCA-08 Student Travel Grant".

The body of the message should include:

Applications are due on Jan. 25, 2008. Applicants will be notified of their award status by Jan 28, 2008.

If your ability to attend HPCA '08 is dependent on receiving a travel grant, please indicate this in your email and have your advisor send email to Lixin to confirm. Our grant funds are very limited, but we will do our best to enable as many students as possible to attend, especially authors.
