Top Reasons to go to Utah for an Honors CS Degree
- Small Class Sizes. Most computer science classes taken by
honors students will be either specifically for
the honors classes (e.g., CS 4005) or will
be introductory graduate courses. Most of these courses
have fewer than 30 students. Non-CS classes can be
taken taken from the
University honors class list.
- Great Dorms. Our
dorms are modern, have great connectivity, and have a great view.
- Utah is a Great Place to Live. Fantastic weather,
outdoor activities, and urban fun. The new light rail links campus
to downtown, and it is free for students. Free (for students) UTA buses
allow you to take your bike with you. More information is
available
here .
- A Department with a Rich History. In addition to being
the fourth internet site in the world, the department has had
a big impact
on the computer world.
- Research. Honors students will do their thesis in
one of our research projects.
- (Relatively!) Low Tuition. Resident Tuition is less than
$2500 per year, and non-resident tuition is less than $8000 per year.
